The challenge was to maximize the property's commercial potential while complying with strict historic building renovation codes. Each room at Pokrovka 6 Hotel is curated with a unique combination of color, shape, vintage finds, and original artworks by emerging Russian artists. The design team drew inspiration from Russian Avantgarde art and architecture to create a vibrant and eclectic atmosphere. The stripped-down aesthetic and a palette of bright hues allude to works of Russian avant-garde artists, while the interplay of ceiling slopes and geometric wall treatments further elaborate on this motif.

One of the standout features of Pokrovka 6 Hotel is the use of stumps of birch trees, still ingrained in Russia's culture, as bedside tables.
